The Cooper-Atkins’ bi-metal pocket test thermometer has an external dimple on the stem to indicate its minimum insertion point. We do not recommend use of bi-metal thermometers for thin foods such as hamburgers. The bi-metal pocket tests have a magnifying lens for easy reading and a combination pocket sheath with adjustment wrench made with anti-microbial plastic. Our 1246-02C dials have a blue indicator mark at 32° for ease of adjustment, and a HACCP danger zone highlighted in red.
